Guest status

A guest is considered to be:

  • **Unassigned** if there are no callers assigned to the guest (see “[Editing a guest’s information](/guestview/working-with-guests/editing-a-guests-information/)” for details on assigning a caller to the guest).

It is good practice to always assign guests to a caller, even if the guest left no contact information, or you are otherwise unable to follow up with the guest; this way it is easier for you to keep track of which guests need to be assigned. To do this, you may assign guests to yourself and then immediately mark yourself as “finished working with guest.”

You can see the list of unassigned guests for your church by clicking on the “My Home” menu item on the left-hand side of the GuestView screen. Then, click on the link labeled “unassigned guests” on that page. This list of unassigned guests will allow you to assign multiple guests to callers at the same time.

  • **Active** if there is at least one caller assigned to the guest who has not yet clicked the button “Finished working with guest.” You can see the list of active guests for your church by clicking on the “My Home” menu item on the left-hand side of the GuestView screen. Then click on the link labeled “active guests” underneath your church’s name.

  • **Inactive** if all callers for the guest have clicked the button “Finished working with guest.” There is no more follow-up needed for these guests. You can see the list of inactive guests for your church by clicking on the “My Home” menu item on the left-hand side of the GuestView screen. Then, click on the link labeled “inactive guests” underneath your church’s name.
